Lisa Conrad

lisannco – Lisa Anne Conrad

My love for craftsmanship was instilled in me from birth. My father ran a heating and plumbing company right on our property in Germany for almost 40 years. As a child, the company was my playground, and as a teenager, I already began designing my own furniture and accessories, which I then built together with my father. It was no surprise that I then began studying interior architecture.

After completing my master’s degree in 2011, I moved to Zurich for an internship and was employed full-time within three months. Since then, I’ve been able to gain extensive experience in residential design, office design, retail and healthcare design.

My husband and I also lived in California for over three years. There, in addition to continuing my education in marketing and working as a freelancer, I delved deeper into the topics of health and well-being, which are highly valued in trend-conscious California

I believe that we can do a great deal for our health and well-being by designing our environments thoughtfully.

This still has a lasting impact on the way I work as an Interior Architect today.

VISION

At lisannco, I design interiors that inspire people to live with intention, more ease and authenticity.

Interior Design and Architecture that works with your life, not just your floorplan.

FAQ

Interior Architecture vs. Interior Design

An interior architect, as the name suggests, is an architect specialized in interior spaces. They don't just design the aesthetic appearance, but also take into account functional, technical, economic, and social aspects. My studies (Bachelor and Master) comprised a total of 10 semesters of full-time education at a technical university, covering subjects ranging from building law and technical fit-out to lighting design and spatial aesthetics. An interior architect is typically qualified to independently manage a complete renovation project.
Not every interior designer is an interior architect. Interior design is more like a sub-discipline of interior architecture. It focuses primarily on the aesthetic aspects of spatial design, such as the placement of furniture and the use of colors and decoration.

What makes lisannco different from other interior architects

At lisannco, you receive the same comprehensive interior design and architecture services as other studios. I will oversee your project from the initial sketch to the handover of the keys.

Every interior architect has their own way of working. In my value system, people come first, even before aesthetics. Because beauty alone is a fleeting joy if the space doesn’t truly work. Meeting the needs of those who use the space is essential to creating long-lasting value. That’s why, at lisannco, I’ve developed my own approach that allows me to fully understand your needs on a deeper level. This ensures that the space fits not just visually, but also functionally. And most importantly, it fits you.

Can everyone afford an interior architect?

Yes. Admittedly, hiring an interior architect isn’t exactly inexpensive. That’s simply because tasks like research and creating detailed plans are very time-intensive. Still, I want people with smaller budgets to be able to benefit from my services. That’s why I’ve put together a few fixed-price packages that are compact, yet designed to help you head in the right direction. If you have the time to do a bit of research on your own and don’t need complex technical drawings, these offers might be just right for you. You’ll find more information about these packages in my Residential Info Brochure.

I'm already working with an architect. Can I get a second opinion from lisannco on a specific problem?

Yes and it’s free of charge. Send me your plans and describe the challenge you're facing. Then book a video call via the contact page. Why is it free? Because it takes me about an hour, and maybe you’ll decide to work with me afterward. And if not, I’ve still done something helpful for you. In both cases, I’ve created value and that’s my top priority.

Why should I choose lisannco for my project?

If you're looking for someone who truly listens and gives you honest answers, I might be the right interior architect for you. What matters most is that the chemistry feels right. Book a call with me and find out.
